THE PURPOSELY DELAYED PHONE SEARCH

I misplaced my phone. Actually, I really haven’t. At least I don’t think I have. I’ve only searched in one place and there truly is only one other place I could’ve left it. But rather than continue my search, I decided to take a phone break; and use this phone break as a theme for today’s post – convenient, eh?
I think from time to time it’s good to have a phone break. My phone is something that is nearly ALWAYS on me. Whenever I am without it I feel like an appendage is missing from my body – and I find that sad. I haven’t the slightest clue how many times I check my phone throughout the day. It must be in the dozens – I hope not hundreds. It’s hard to remember a time before this smartphone era that we now live in. But every now and then, I think how nice it was without having to carry around this little bit of ADD-inducing madness.
So I have left my phone somewhere in my home which will be found at a future date. In the meantime I am free to write without the threat of distraction because on my cell phone I either:
– got a text message
– received an email
– wanted to check what time it is, or
– felt a phantom vibration
But before I continue my peaceful writing, I am going to send a search party to confirm my phone’s exact location – I won’t be able to fully concentrate if it actually is lost. Here’s hoping it’s not – and here’s hoping I don’t bring it back with me to my computer once it’s located.
